Description Technical Specs Extended Information

BitPost ™ is an alternative product for Creosote or Carbolineum. It is a New Zealand manufactured bituminous emulsion / polymer product.

Because of its rot-resisting and disinfecting effect, BitPost ™ is ideally suited for the preservation and staining of wooden structures such as Post and Rail fences, Retaining walls and Construction timber framing etc. It is also suitable to preserve in-ground planted posts.

Timber typically requires one coat only although when spraying it might require two coats to ensure an even black end result. One (1) Litre will cover approximately 2 to 3 Square Meters thus 20 Litre will cover 40 to 60 Square Meters. On Post and (3 rails) fence 20 Litres will spray approximately 60 linear meters, stained on both sides.

BitPost ™ - Spray Grade is intended primarily for surface application by spraying with a knapsack garden sprayer or by other spray equipment.
BitPost ™ - Spray Grade Gives an economical yet high quality finish which is ideal for larger projects.

A re-coat will be required after 3 to 5 years, where after it will last another 8 to 10 years before coating again.

The colour is black to very dark brown.

I am very  happy with my new black stained post and rail fence! The product was so easy to use and very quick to apply! I have two toddlers so I was never going to find any time to stain my fence with a brush. I would highly recommend the BitPost spray grade if you are looking to stain your fence.

Quick and easy order and delivery process.
Sprayed 80L onto post and rail fencing some of which was only a couple of year old but most was at least 30 years old. Excellent result. Absolutely work on needing two coats when spraying.

BitPost spray on paint November 14, 2015
Reviewer: Keith Lovelock from Marton, Manawatu New Zealand
My mum noticed my flash new post & beam driveway entrance painted in stunning charcoal black contrasting with the green foliage....and hinted that her street frontage wooden fence was a bit tatty. Actually the hundred odd metres of it around her whole section looked drab & I did'nt want to paint it by hand ,so Pete from Biosymph sent me the spray on version...looks like black sump oil tar mix,but you can use just about any type of spray on from knapsack hand operated  to compressor to apply...leaves a nice dull black charcoal finish...Mum was tickled pink, and everybody on her street has noticed! I have also used this product in a historcal cottage restoration to spray/protect areas with borer/partial damage that could not be replaced ..very easy to do by spraying into restricted corners.
